First summary draft: Where's My Supersuit

In the article, “Where’s My Supersuit”, Karl Zelik(2019) has stated that human exoskeletons are under development for injury prevention, public use, and numerous other application suggestions.
5 years ago, they are initially developed to reduce the fatigue of jobs. Most people can benefit from the creation of exoskeletons. However, the exoskeletons are expensive, bulky and uncomfortable.
These motorized exo-suits are targeted to assist the legs, arms, and hands.it could also be used to teach proper lifting techniques or to provide resistance training. Spring-powered exo-suits are also developed to assist ankle muscles for walking and running. Other developments would include neck-support for surgeons and nurses for surgical procedures.
A clothing-like exoskeleton is developed for patients with lower back pain. The mechanized clothing will prevent pain. When the suit is switched off, the user will be able to move freely. Otherwise, the elastic bands will support the backload.

  1. Hi XJ,

The summary that you post gives me a clear idea of what the article is trying to share with the reader. It explained why the exo-suits are not available yet for public use and the different developments that exo-suits can be used to ease surgical procedures and others. In my opinion, I would suggest to put a conclusion at the end of the summary to make the summary look good. All in all, it is a well written summary.

    Cheers,

  2. Hi XJ,

The content of your summary covered everything that you state from the introductory paragraph. You have provided the examples to support your summary and I think that is great. You can add in your elaboration of your examples and the other applications that can also be used on a supersuit!

    Cheers,
    Hilmi
